Suzuki rolls out 2011 Support Rider Program

Suzuki Australia's 2011 racer contingency program gives Suzuki-mounted privateers plenty to cheer about

You don't have to be a factory-backed ace like Troy Herfoss (pictured) to reap the rewards of campaigning a Suzuki race bike. Suzuki Australia has revealed details of its 2011 Suzuki Support Rider (SSR) program, which offers cash incentives to high-performing, Suzuki-mounted

privateers taking part in a range of Australian championships.

A total prize pool of $125,000 is on offer to Suzuki privateers contesting the Australian Road Racing Championship (ASBK), the Australian Off Road

Championship (AORC), the Australian Motocross Championship (MX Nationals) and the Australian Supercross Championship (Super X), with contingency payments

set to be handed down across multiple classes. The Suzuki Support Rider program is entering its 11th year in 2010.

Provided the riders concerned finish within the top 20, the program will see the highest-placed SSR privateer receive $500, with $250 for the second-

highest-placed SSR privateer, and $125 for the third-highest-placed SSR privateer. Suzuki Australia has also indicated that riders in State Championships are

also eligible for contingency payouts, based on overall championship results.

Registration for the program is free, and applications forms are available from the Suzuki Motorcycles website.
