The all-new 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT sports touring model marks a new direction for the Japanese company with a powerful four-cylinder engine and a wide array of electronic features.
As the first Suzuki model to feature a full-colour TFT screen, the new 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT is designed as a practical and comfortable tourer with loads of performance.
Powered by the same 999cc inline four-cylinder engine as the recently-overhauled Suzuki GSX-S1000 naked bike, the new GT version features new internal components that Suzuki says enhances low-to-mid range power and torque with improved efficiency and durability.

The bike also features a slipper clutch, a twin-spar aluminium frame, aluminium-alloy swingarm, fully-adjustable 43mm KYB fork, Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres, Brembo brakes, LED lighting and a 19L fuel tank.
In the electronic department, the GT is packed to the brim. It is equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride Mode System (SIRS) that features on other Suzuki models such as the Hayabusa and the V-Strom 1050XT. The SIRS system includes three ride modes, five-mode traction control, ABS and ride-by-wire throttle. There is also a quickshifter, cruise control and low RPM assist.
The biggest news, however, is the 6.5-inch colour TFT display that also features smartphone connectivity. Suzuki has introduced its mySpin app that works in a similar way to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, by displaying the phone’s contents on the screen. This includes maps, music, calendars, contacts, weather info and phone calls. The phone is connected via Bluetooth and there is also a UBS charging point.
Due to arrive in Australia in March 2022, the new Suzuki GSX-S1000GT is available in both Metallic Triton Blue and Metallic Reflective Blue. It is priced at $19,090 ride away.
