Suzuki releases KingQuad 400ASi

Two-wheel drive workhorse ATV arrives in Australia boasting a range of practical features

Powered by a 376cc fuel-injected four-stroke engine, Suzuki has released its new two-wheel drive KingQuad 400ASi, priced from $9290 before on-road costs are added.

The affordable new model will appeal to farmers and those in agricultural industries, fitted with low-range, high-range, neutral or park settings and also reverse, while a fully-automatic constant variable transmission (CVT) takes means riders can concentrate on the task at hand rather than what gear the quad is in.

Once seated, riders will be faced with new highly legible LCD digital display, which features speedometer, odometer, tripmeter, hour meter, clock and fuel gauge. The new KingQuad 400ASi also gets LED indicators to identify fuel injection, engine oil temperature, neutral and reverse functions.

"The Suzuki KingQuad models consistently receive high praise, and the addition of this new two wheel drive automatic KingQuad 400ASi further strengthens our competitiveness in the ATV category," said Perry Morison, General Manager, Motorcycles, for Suzuki Australia.

"Including the new 400ASi, we now have nine KingQuad models ranging from 300cc to 750cc, with choices of manual or automatic transmission, two wheel or four wheel drive, power steering and fuel injection - there is a model for every purpose representing outstanding value-for-money," stated Morison.

Suzuki reckons the new KingQuad 400ASi is 'purpose-built to withstand the tough Australian conditions' and is equipped with an 'advanced braking system' integrated within the transmission that 'reduces free-wheeling during steep descents,' claims the company.

Fully independent suspension (front A-arm and swingarm rear suspension paired with dual shock absorbers) takes care of keeping the rider comfortable and ensuring high levels of manoeuvrability.

Braking is taken care of via large twin front disc brakes with 34mm piston diameters, while the rear end gets drum brakes.

Along with sporty body work, the KingQuad 400ASi benefits from high-clearance mud guards and full-length plastic skid plates to protect the chassis and powertrain, giving it the wherewithal to tackle rugged terrain.

Available in 'Flame Red' the new KingQuad 400ASi is backed by a 12-month warranty, and is priced from $9,290 before on-road costs are added.
