Suzuki has issued a recall to 10 models across its range saying high humidity in the firm’s storage facility may have affected the bike’s batteries.
According to the brand, possible moisture absorbed in the humid conditions could have caused the glue attaching the regulator/rectifier’s power module circuit board to the case to fail. This in turn can cause excessive heat and can result in insufficient charge being supplied to the battery.
The recall applies to Burgman 400 (2008-2012), V-Strom 1000 (2008-2012), GSF1250 (2007-2010), B-King (2008-2010), Hayabusa (2008-2012), GSX-R600 (2008-2010), GSX-R750 (2008-2010), Gladius (2009-2012), Boulevard C109R (2008-2011) and Boulevard M90 (2009-2010).
owners are urged to contact their dealer to get the issue, er, rectified.
