Suzuki has added to its popular M-series muscle cruisers with the addition of a 'middleweight' version - all 1462cc of it!
The new liquid-cooled, shaft-driven M90 now sits between the 805cc C50 and the popular M109R, which displaces 1783cc.
The M90 picks up its styling hues from the M109R, including the headlight cowl, dual slash-cut silencers and chrome engine covers. There is an abundance of optional extras, including a single seat cowl.
Suzuki is claiming peak torque at just 2600rpm from the wide-ratio five-speed engine, which is fitted with 42mm throttle bodies and a back-torque-limiting clutch - handy with so much inertia on the scene.
The whole show is run by a 32-bit engine management system and Suzuki's dual throttle valve fuel-injection.
Each cylinder features dual spark plugs, which fire at different intervals depending on the level of rpm. Suzuki claims this increases combustion efficiency and reduces emissions.
The cast aluminium-alloy wheels carry Bridgestone rubber, including a 200-section rear tyre.
Colours are black, metallic blue and red. The M90 will go on sale in November, with price to be confirmed.
However, with the M50 valued at $10,490 and the M109R $18,990, we expect the M90 to go on sale somewhere around the $15K mark.
