Suzuki Australia has confirmed its hard-charging hyperbike, the GSX1300R Hayabusa, will remain a part of the brand's Australian model line-up, despite it failing to meet the latest emissions regulations in Europe.
Rumours have been rife that it was the end of the line for the revered model which, after its introduction in 1999, sparked an all-out speed war between it, Honda's CBR1100XX Super Blackbird, and Kawasaki's ZX-12R.
However, now Suzuki Australia has addressed these concerns, stating: "Suzuki Motor Corporation, however, will continue to manufacture the Hayabusa and Suzuki Australia will introduce new colours for the 2019 model, next year."
The Suzuki Hayabusa is currently available in two colours, with runout pricing on the 2018 model of $19,450 ride away, including 12 months' registration and a two year/unlimited-kilometre warranty.
