Suzuki's top-spec Gixxer 1000 on sale from September 7

The exotic Suzuki GSX-R1000R is looming large, with the brand's top-spec sporting flagship screaming into Aussie dealerships from September 7.

The model comes bristling with high-tech gear, including the latest Showa BFF (Balance Free Front) fork and Showa BFRC (Balance Free Rear Cushion) shock, a bi-directional quickshifter, race launch control, LED position lights, a lightweight battery and a unique black LCD dash.

Suzuki says the first shipment of the exclusive model is nearly sold out, and is urging customers to pre-order through their local dealership to avoid disappointment.

The GSX-R1000R is available in Metallic Triton Blue or Glass Sparkle Black for $25,490 (plus on-roads) or $27,490 (rideaway).

Should the budget not stretch quite that far, however, the base-model Suzuki GSX-R1000 is available for $21,990 (plus on-roads) or $23,990 (rideaway). It's available in Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Matte Black No. 2 or Pearl Mira Red.
