Joining the smartphone tuning craze, Suzuki has unveiled the new 2021 Suzuki RM-Z250 and RM-Z450, with both machines featuring wireless connectivity for the first time. The RM-Z250 was given smartphone tuning for 2020, but both bikes will benefit from the technology in 2021.
Expected to arrive in Australian dealerships by December, the 2021 Suzuki RM-Z250 is priced at $10,790 ride away, while the 2021 Suzuki RM-Z450 is priced at $11,690 ride away.

Every purchase of a 2021 Suzuki RM-Z comes with a Suzuki MX Tuner 2.0 – a plug-and-play unit provided by Italian ECU company GET, which allows wireless connectivity with the WiGET smartphone app.
The app is available on iOS and Android devices, and comes with several pre-installed factory maps for different riding styles and track conditions. Users can also create custom maps with specific settings for ignition timing and fuel injection delivery.

Elsewhere, the 2021 RM-Z range also sees the return of the Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC), which gives riders three settings that can be selected via a handlebar-mounted switch. The holeshot device alters ignition timing to control wheelspin during takeoff for different surfaces.
Another electronic gizmo is Suzuki’s Traction Management system, which uses an engine control module to adjust ignition timing and fuel injection to maximise traction.
The 2021 Suzuki RM-Z450 is powered by 449cc single cylinder engine, and features a premium Showa 49mm spring fork and BFRC shock. Meanwhile, the 2021 RM-Z250 features premium KYB suspension and is powered by a 249cc single cylinder motor.

Both bikes also come with black anodized Dirtstar rims, powerful 270mm wave front rotors, and aluminium Renthal Fatbar as standard.
Notably, the new models also feature a bold new graphics design. Suzuki isn’t known for making huge graphic changes, and the new design is the biggest departure for some time (though still relatively small).
