Suzuki has launched two new models in the form of the 2010 model RM85 junior motocrosser 2010 model DR-Z125.
Let's start with the DR-Z125, which is powered by a 124cc four-stroker that delivers "plenty of smooth and easy-to-enjoy power" according Suzuki. It features a lightweight frame and swingarm that are claimed to deliver 'ample' rigidity.
The 2010 model DR-Z125 also comes equipped with a single front disc brake, larger wheels, a slightly increased wheelbase and a higher seat than the previous model. Drawing inspiration from its motocross machines, Suzuki offers the DR-Z125 and DR-Z125L in the Champion Yellow colour scheme, as well as black.
Now if smooth four-stroke power is not to your child's liking (or yours), the 2010 model Suzuki RM85 will fit the bill, delivering high rev power from its 85cc liquid cooled two-stroke engine. The RM85 also makes use of a six-speed transmission to make the most of the available engine power.
Suzuki reckons it has crammed "race-bred technology into a junior-sized package" with the new RM85 models, which are based around a tubular steel frame and feature an aluminium swingarm, inverted Showa front forks and a Showa piggyback rear shocker.
Disc brakes are standard on both the RM85 and RM85L and like the DR-Z125 the junior two-stroke motocrosser is offered in head-turning Champion Yellow livery.
