Suzuki B-King gets close

Naked monster claims 184hp

Suzuki's B-King is being launched in Europe this week (first week of August, 2007), almost six years after it was first unveiled as a concept bike at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The radically-styled and somewhat hefty 235 kilo machine is running a slightly detuned version of the new 1340cc Hayabusa engine, with 12.5:1 compression and a claimed output of a whopping 184 horses, which will comfortably make it the most powerful naked bike on the market.

Production versions are expected to be on sale in Europe by September, at a similar price to the fully-faired Busa - itself the recent target of a major freshen-up.

The UK distributor has set up a microsite for the machine at this link
