The famous Adelaide 500 will play host to the third round of the Australian Supercross Championship this November.
While the Supercars action will be the focus of the November 14-17 weekend, the nation’s best supercross riders will put on a notable sideshow for the crowd while furiously competing for Australian title.
Legendary rockers Cold Chisel and Crowded House have been named as music headliners, with Meg Mac, The Cruel Sea, and The Superjesus as supports, while there will be plenty of other off-track action for punters to sink their teeth into.
In short, the Adelaide 500 weekend is set to be bigger than Ben-Hur.
A full-size track will be built within the grounds of the Adelaide street circuit, with existing and temporary grandstands set to provide plenty of vantage points.
Organisers have announced a new format for the event, with four sprint finals with one overall winner per class. Each sprint will also offer an additional championship point for the fastest lap.
The full picture of the 2024 Australian Supercross Championship is almost complete with just one more location to be announced.
Brisbane will host the first round, while Wollongong will host the second. The fourth and final round is expected to be announced soon.
Tickets for the Adelaide 500 are now on sale. A General Admission ticket will include access to the Australian Supercross Championship event. There are also Grandstand tickets available.
