Successful surgery for Stoner

The Aussie has gone under the knife to fix his injured right ankle, which he hurt at the Indianapolis GP after being snapped over the bars
Casey Stoner has undergone surgery on his injured right ankle, with the procedure performed in Sydney's North Shore Private Hospital on August 29.

Doctors are pleased with how the operation went, and now must wait during this initial recuperation period to see how the ankle is healing.
With no complications, Stoner returned straight home and we’ll continue to provide updates on his recovery as they come to hand.
Stoner crashed in practice for the Indianapolis GP on August 18, tearing ligaments and sustaining a number of small fractures in his right ankle. He still pushed on and finished fourth in the race.
