While some motorcycle companies use drip feeds to market their products, and other use cold hard facts, BMW has turned to star power to help promote its adventure bikes.
He's won Oscars, he's starred in movies like Kingdom of Heaven, The Lion King, Dead Ringers and Eragon, but who knew actor Jeremy Irons was a rusted on BMW rider?
Currently filming a new TV series called The Borgias in Hungary - where he plays Rodrigo Borgia (aka Pope Alexander VI) - Irons took delivery of a brand new BMW R 1200 GS to explore Budapest and beyond while stationed there.
"I like working in Hungary, but I haven’t had the chance yet to get to know the country by motorcycle. I have been to Esztergom by car and I will definitely go back on a bike because I really liked it," said Irons.
He normally rides a BMW R100RT and was keen to get his hands on something to explore Hungary on, and will hand the motorcycle back in December.
"The Hungarian landscapes are beautiful," continued the Brit, "...although I do miss the high mountains and winding mountain roads a bit. My wife often comes with me on my trips, and we are both happy to have the opportunity to discover the countryside with a BMW Enduro bike since this is the brand we use back home in the United Kingdom.
"Fortunately, we have also received a lot of great route tips to choose from, along with the motorcycle,” said Irons.
