Well-known motorcycle industry executive Stuart Strickland received a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the 2012 Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
The OAM was for “service to the automotive industry through executive and professional roles” and a quick scan of his CV supports that assessment:

Managing Director, Honda Australia MPE (Motorcycles and Power Equipment), 2005-2010. Executive roles 1990-2010, employee, 1981-1990;
Co-developer, Honda Australia Rider Training program, 1989;
Board Member, Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries, for 23 years;
Past Chairman, Motorcycle Industry Division, Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce; and
Director and Board Member, Motorcycling Australia, since 2011.
Another motorcycle rider, former federal parliamentarian and current chairman of the Victorian Motor Advisory Group, David Hawker, was also recognised in the 2012 Queen’s Birthday Honours List with an AO – Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia.
