Australia's Josh Strang (Suzuki) slid to his third straight Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) win at round five in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
The 20-year-old Australian finished around two minutes ahead of Kawasaki's Jimmy Jarrett after six laps, with his Suzuki teammate Charlie Mullins third. Strang also fended off challenges from Scotty Watkins (Kawasaki) and KTM's Kailub Russell.
"There's still a long way to go," Strang said, careful not to get too excited about his three-race win streak. "This was a tough race and I'm happy to be up here in first. This is where I knew I could be."
Strang has now joined New Zealander Paul Whibley (Kawasaki) in a share of the lead on 111pts, with Mullins (110) making it a tight contest at the front.
Russell (82pts) and Jarrett (67) round out the top five.
Whibley broke a chain on lap four, and finished a lowly 11th. Australian Glenn Kearney (Husqvarna) was ninth in his first top 10 result of the year.
Kearney is 16th overall on 24pts.
