After being placed in voluntary receivership on November 24 (here), discussions are now underway for the sale of Stoney Creek Power Sports (SCPS), the former national importer of nine motorcycle and scooter brands.
Paladin Partners, a Sydney-based boutique business reconstruction firm which is handling the administration and sale of the NSW-based SCPS, told the BikeSales Network a number of interested parties had shown interest in buying the business, but it was unable to elaborate on whether that was for the global operation, or just elements of it. Eg the Moto Morini motorcycle franchise only.
Paladin also confirmed that a second meeting of creditors will be held on December 30.
SCPS was also the national importer of Benelli and Bimota motorcycles, as well as the popular Sachs commuters and scooters from the likes of TGB Peugeot and Malaguti.
