Stealth Electric Bikes to debut at Melbourne Expo

November's Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne will see the unveiling of a new Aussie-made range of electric bikes

Melbourne-based engineering firm Stealth Electric Bikes has chosen the upcoming Australian Motorcycle Expo -- to be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre over November 23-25 -- to launch a new high-performance range of electric bikes.

The range is said to bridge the gap between traditional pedal-powered bicycles and motorcycles, and it will be spearheaded by the company's flagship model, the Stealth Bomber. According to Stealth Electric Bikes, the Stealth Bomber is capable of speeds of up to 80km/h and has a range of around 80km -- even further when using the bike's regenerative brake system, which converts the force of braking into extra charge for the bike's batteries.

The lightweight machine is built around a chassis constructed from aircraft-grade alloy, while riders can rely solely on the 4.5kW direct-drive electric motor or use pedal power, the latter utilising a nine-speed sequential gearbox. The bike can be charged from any standard 240v power outlet.

According to Nicholas Morrison from Stealth Electric Bikes, the company is very much looking forward to displaying its wares. "The Australian Motorcyle Expo Melbourne will be a landmark for the brand, and we're excited to make our show debut so close to where the bikes are designed and engineered," he said.

"Stealth Electric Bikes has created the perfect synergy between man and machine. By combining the very best of human and electric propulsion systems, Stealth has built the ultimate extension of the human body," he added.

Stealth Electric Bikes will be joined by well over 100 other exhibitors at the expo, which will see all the latest and greatest motorcycle models, accessories and services showcased under the one roof over the three days of the event. For more information visit www.australianmotorcycleexpo.com.au
