Stauffer claims Island double

Led home teammate Troy Herfoss in a Honda domination, with Kawasaki-riding 2015 champion Mike Jones third

Jamie Stauffer (Team Honda Racing) won both races in the final round of the 2015 Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship at Phillip Island on October 4.

Stauffer put in a dominant performance to claim the round win ahead of teammate Troy Herfoss, and 2015 champion Mike Jones (Kawasaki).

“It was a great weekend for Team Honda Racing with the pole position and two race wins," sad Stauffer.  "The bike was working like a charm and I am really looking forward to the MotoGP event here in a couple of weeks.”
Jones wrapped up the title at the penultimate round in Tasmania, and he completed the championship on 225pts from Daniel Falzon (Yamaha, 163), New Zealander Ryan Hampton (BMW, 144), Ben Henry (Kawasaki, 111) and Philip Czaj (Aprilia, 99).

Herfoss was seventh despite only competing in the championship's two Phillip Island rounds.

In supersport, Chas Hern also produced a clean sweep, but it was fellow Suzuki rider Brayden Elliot who won the championship after a 2-3 final round scorecard.
