Things have been moving at an inexorable pace in electric motorcycle racing land since the inaugural TTXGP at this year's Isle of Man, including the announcement of an FIM-sanctioned world series in 2010.
Now, technology magazine Gizmag is reporting that a starter pack will be available in December for prospective teams in a number of feeder series for the world title, incorporating an AGNI electric racing motor, race batteries, controllers and all electronics.
The pack is expected to cost around £10,000 ($A15,000), leaving teams to source or manufacture their own chassis and running gear (wheels, brakes, etc)
"Everything is moving so very fast," Azhar Hussain, the man behind the TTXGP and the 2010 world series, was quoted as saying on Gizmag.
"We're clearly already the No. 1 brand globally in clean emission motorsport, but we believe our grass roots strategy of making the kits available globally for under £10,000 will prove to be the real innovation.
"The kits are based around the motor, batteries and controller used by AGNI (Sanskrit for "fire") to win the TTXGP this year and it means that anyone anywhere in the world can put together a competitive electric motorcycle and compete in a national series, which in turn feeds and strengthens the world series.
"Our aim is not just to get enough bikes on the grid at an international level, but to get healthy national series going across the globe, fostering innovation."
Feeder titles are already being planned in the UK and America, while Hussain has revealed the five world championship rounds will be held across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
The rounds will feature one practice session, one qualifying session and around a 40km race - which will be increased in future years.
The TTXGP will also return to the Isle of Man in 2010, with a two-lap race for one of the classes.
But there will no dump of fuel in those pit stops - just a fresh battery.
