The highly anticipated Stark Varg electric motocross bike is almost within reach for buyers, with the company announcing its 2023 shipping target is “within sight”.
However, anyone who has not already pre-ordered will have to wait until May 2024 for the Stark Varg to arrive on their doorstep.
While first deliveries were initially expected in 2022, the huge international demand has delayed production of the high-tech dirt bike.
More than 17,000 pre orders forced the Swedish company to relocate to a bigger production facility to cope with the unprecedented demand.

In the meantime, Stark has been refining the product with thorough testing and feedback from the initial media launch which took place earlier in 2022.
The Stark Varg has created a buzz in the industry with an innovative electric powertrain and chassis that the company says will trump conventional combustion engine equivalents. The motocross machine also features technology that can alter the bike’s performance and connect with a bar-mounted Android smartphone.
Priced at $18,000AUD, the Stark Varg is apparently capable of up to 80hp and weighs in at just 110kg. Stark also claims a max riding time of six hours and a charging time of 1-2 hours.
“The Stark Varg is almost ready to go and it’s a really proud moment for us,” said Stark Future CEO, Anton Wass. “It’s a milestone and another beginning for our story as a company and our mission to inspire the motorcycle industry to sustainability.
“With the factory almost fully operational and the bikes almost ready to ship – it’s been the best kind of a whirlwind. The response we’ve had and all the positivity and momentum behind the Stark VARG shows that our vision was sound.”
Stark intends to enter top-level motocross championships, however there is currently no allowances for electric motorcycles to race alongside traditional 250cc and 450cc machines.
