Spoked rims for Triumph Tiger Explorer

The standard alloy-rimmed Triumph Tiger Explorer will be joined by a wire-spoked-wheel version available from March, 2013

Triumph Australia has announced that its recently-introduced big-bore adventure bike, the Triumph Tiger Explorer, will be available with wire-spoked wheels as of March 2013, in addition to the standard alloy-wheel model.

With aluminium rims and steel spokes, the new option will retain the 19in front/17in rear wheel format of the standard alloy-rim model, giving customers a wide variety of tyre options. Designed by Triumph, the new spoked rims will also accomodate tubeless tyres, meaning flats can be fixed in the backblocks with a minimum of fuss.
Because of the ability to carry out repairs on spoked rims relatively easily, the move will come as welcome news for prospective Tiger Explorer buyers intent on getting the most out of the bike's off-road ability, and/or serious overland tourers.
Pricing for the spoked-wheel will be announced shortly. For more information see your nearest Triumph dealer.
