Triumph’s motorcycle line-up has expanded with the addition of the three new Special Edition models – the Bonneville T100 Sixty SE, the Thruxton SE, and the Speed Triple SE.
Limited to a run of 650 examples, the Bonneville T100 Sixty SE features a two-tone Meriden Blue/Caspian Blue paint scheme with hand-painted pinstripes, inspired by the 1960 release of the Bonneville model. According to Triumph, although the Bonneville was first released in 1959, it was the T120 model of the following year that was regarded as the more handsome of the two, the latter’s twin-clock instrument set-up carrying through to the T100 model of today.
Each Bonneville T100 Sixty SE comes with its own numbered plaque on the handlebar clamp and an individual certificate of authenticity, and retails for $14,990 (plus on-road costs).
At the sportier end of Triumph’s retro range comes the Thruxton SE, the café racer featuring a red powdercoated frame, blacked-out engine cases, a factory fly screen and Crystal White bodywork, the latter complemented by a red racing stripe. Triumph says the new Crystal White paint has a high metallic content, producing a luxurious finish. The Thruxton SE retails for $14,490 (plus on-road costs).
While its 128hp powerplant remains unchanged, the new Speed Triple SE features updated suspension, with modified components in both the fork and rear shock said to improve damping characteristics, reduce fork dive under brakes, and improve ride comfort. The model is available in Tornado Red with a Crystal White centre stripe and black pinstripe, and is available now for $17,590 (plus on-road costs).
