Softail recall

Harley-Davidson Australia has recalled 2011 Softail models to replace a faulty electrical component
Harley-Davidson Australia has issued a nationwide recall for its 2011-model Softails. The recall concerns all Harley-Davidson Softails built through to October 14, 2010, and other 2011 Softail models that have been fitted with a certain accessory security system.
Harley-Davidson has said that water may be able to penetrate the affected bikes' Body Control Module (BCM), which can potentially lead to the engine stalling -- with obvious safety implications is the bike is in motion.
Harley-Davidson Australia is writing to all owners of the affected Softails -- owners should contact their local Harley dealer to arrange to have the BCM replaced.
