Snowy winners collect their prizes
Two motorcycles were given away at the charity event – a VFR800F and CRF250X – and the lucky recipients now have early Christmas presentsTwo lucky riders took possession of new Honda motorcycles recently, donated by Honda Australia as prizes at the annual Snowy Ride which took place in November, 2013.
Carol May-Davies will take to the countryside on a brand-new VFR800F, while Eddy Hungerford will get serious in the dirt aboard a CRF250X
.
A third donation to the Snowy Ride – via a raffle prize -- was a Motologic accessorised Honda CBR1000RR. The winner was Chris Tavner, with the prize drawn at the Australian Motorcycle & Scooter Show in Sydney last month.
Drawing over 3000 riders from all over the country to the alpine region of NSW, the 2013 Snowy Ride raised over $280,000 for the Steven Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation. The vevent has grown into the largest community motorcycle event in Australia. Since its inception 13 years ago it has helped the Walter Children’s Cancer Foundation raise over $5 million for childhood cancer research.
