Australian freestyle star Cameron Sinclair’s condition has improved markedly over the last 24 hours, although his doctors have cautioned that he still isn’t completely out of the woods.
Associates by his bedside in Madrid, where he was lucky to survive a botched double backflip attempt in the penultimate round of Red Bull X-Fighters last weekend, have reported on Sinclair’s personal website that the bleeding to his brain is very minor, and that a lack of movement on the right side of his body is probably more to do with the fractures to his shoulder blade, cheekbone and shoulder cup than anything else.
Cameron’s repaired liver is also working well, despite the massive damage it suffered.
The Crusty Demons star is still heavily sedated, but is responding to visual and verbal cues. He is expected to remain in intensive care for the new few days before eventually returning to Australia to continue his recovery.
