Sinclair getting closer to repatriation

Next MRI scan will hold the key

Australian Cameron Sinclair is still making a solid recovery from a massive crash in the Spanish round of Red Bull X-Fighters on July 18, and should know within days when he can return home to Australia.

Cam’s right side is still very weak, but he can scramble on and off a wheelchair to head outside for some fresh air. His memory also continues to get better, and he’s now starting to get a cheeky with hospital staff, which is always a good sign from a cognitive point of view.

Cam is now due for another MRI scan on his brain, which will confirm whether the bleeding has stopped. Once those results are in, a return date to Australia will be determined, and it could be as early as this Friday.

Sinclair Cameron under-rotated a double backflip in Madrid, and also lacerated a liver in the crash, as well as breaking his cheekbone and shoulder.

Once he returns home, Cam will begin rehabilitation, which is expected to keep him off the bike for up to 12 months.
