Sherco has announced its 2018 range of enduro bikes, with the firm’s all-new 125 SE-R two-stroke expanding the line-up to six models.
The carburetor-fed 125cc offers switchable power modes, employs WP suspension at both ends, comes standard with an FMF exhaust and carbon end cap, has a fuel capacity of 10.4 litres, boasts only electric start and weighs just 95kg.
“The interest in the arrival of the 125 SE-R has been enormous,” stated Sherco Australia’s Stephen Tuff.
“The small-bore capacity has been somewhat over-looked for some time and Sherco recognised there is a genuine demand for a highly competitive 125cc two-stroke so it built the best bike to fit the brief.”
As well as the new 125cc addition, the two-stroke range (250 SE-R and 300 S-ER) gains a few updates for the new year including a reinforced clutch, some better seals and a new primary sprocket design which is said to increase performance while reducing both noise and wear.
As well as a new piston and crankshaft, the 300 gains new ignition mapping, an improved cooling system and a revised fuel pump.
Over in the four-stroke camp, both the 250 SEF-R and the 300 SEF-R earn a new exhaust for less weight and improved power, while the 450 SEF-R gets a revised clutch, a redesigned cylinder head and a new silencer which trims 500g off of its overall weight.
Updates which apply to Sherco’s entire enduro range include more durable plastics, a revised seat which offers better grip, a new digital speedo, a new headlight unit and updated graphics for all models.
The 2018 Sherco Racing enduro range is available now at the following recommended retail prices, and to celebrate the launch of the 125 SE-R, Sherco Australia will throw in a 'pit kit' with every order taken between now and the end of October. The kit, valued at nearly $540, includes a Sherco Racing pit tent and RaceTech Neon Worx bike stand.
