KTM is gearing up to drop a swag of new models and technology as the 2024 EICMA show in Milan quickly approaches.
The Austrian firm has teased some of its new metal, which will be periodically revealed online in the lead-up to the Milan show.
Perhaps the biggest news is the unveiling of the new Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT) gearbox, which sees KTM join a number of other major manufacturers like Honda, Yamaha, and BMW in the automatic space race.
It is unclear what model the AMT system will debut on, but existing teaser footage suggests it could be the rumoured 990 Adventure R – a bike which KTM has not yet spoken about publicly.
Another new innovation from KTM is the new-generation 8.8-inch TFT display, which the firm says will “enhance the riders experience” and “increase the immersive experience with vastly improved UX and UI”. The new system will include new electronic and connectivity features, as well as a new switch block.
In terms of new models, KTM has announced it will pull the covers off the new 1390 Super Adventure platform including S, R, and S EVO versions, as well as the all-new 390 Adventure R.
Electric will also be a focus with reveals of the new SX-E 3 and SX-E 5 minibikes, as well as a redesigned Freeride E.
On the tarmac side, KTM is set to reveal the new 990 Duke R, while EICMA will play host to the unveiling of the anticipated 1390 Super Duke GT.
KTM’s calendar of reveals begins on October 8 with the AMT gearbox, and with culminate with the reveal of the Super Duke GT at EICMA on November 5.
