Segway-Ninebot has launched a range of electric motorcycle scooters which it calls e-Motorbikes. And yes, it is the same Segway famous for those quirky self-balancing mobility contraptions.
The Segway e-Motorbike series features three electric models – the E300SE, the E125S, and the E110S. The new models will compete with the likes of the Fonz Arthur 6 and the Super Soco CPx, and are available to test ride at 14 scooter dealerships across Australia.
Sitting at the top of the range, the E300SE is powered by a 10kW motor and claims a max speed of 105km/h. Segway also claims a battery range of 130kms, and a charge time of 5.5 hours to 100 per cent.

According to Segway, the scooter also comes with remote starting and locking, vehicle statistics, dual-channel ABS, electronic assist braking, cruise control, hill hold-control, assist pushing and one-touch reverse.
The E125S has a 3.5kW motor, while the E110S has a 1.8kW motor. Both of these models also feature electronic braking assist and smartphone connectivity.
Pricing starts at $4490 ride away for the E110S, while the E125S checks in at $6990 ride away. The flagship E300SE is available for $8990 ride away. Segway says all three bikes are learner approved.

Segway was born in the US in 1999 but was sold to Chinese robotics company Ninebot in 2015. The company also produces UTV’s and ATV’s under the Segway Powersports brand. Segway Powersports is imported to Australia via Urban Moto Imports, however the e-Motorbike range will be distributed by 360 International.
Back in 2021, Segway revealed plans to release a hydrogen fuel-cell motorcycle by 2023, but there has been little word on its arrival since. It is still listed on the Segway global website as the Apex H2.
bikesales will be attending the launch of the Segway e-Motorbike range in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for a full review.
