The Harley-Davidson LiveWire has been selected as the mode of transport for Police Scotland during the ongoing 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26).
With the historic climate change summit currently taking place in Glasgow, the local boys in blue have taken possession of six LiveWire motorcycles which will be used throughout the duration of the conference. Each bike has been modified to meet Police Scotland’s operational needs.

As the first major manufacturer to offer a full-electric motorcycle, Harley-Davidson’s partnership with Police Scotland is a good fit given the nature of the COP26 summit. World leaders have gathered in Glasgow to work towards mitigating climate change. The conference will run until November 12.
This isn’t H-D’s first rodeo with the po-po – the Milwaukee company has been providing specially-built motorcycles to police and rescue departments around the world for over 110 years.
The introduction of the LiveWire, however, has presented the company with a new operational avenue – a near-silent, ultra-quick, and high-tech urban motorcycle that not only helps the police operate more efficiently, but also contributes to the global zero-emissions movement.
The Harley-Davidson LiveWire has been lauded by critics, but has received some public backlash due to its astronomical price tag. But Harley will soon launch its standalone LiveWire brand, which will a reduced price for the flagship electric model.
