SBK ticket giveaway winner
With thanks to Gobert and SlightClem Doherty is the winner of the BikePoint and SBK ticket giveaway competition (here), which closed yesterday.
You had to tell us in 25 words or less your most memorable Phillip Island spectacle, and Clem rejoiced in something which happened 13 years ago:
Gobert and the Island were magic, but the 1996 battle with Slight was my favourite. Side-by-side into Honda (Corner) with rears 30cm in the air!
Congratulations to Clem, who'll now be sent two three-day general admission passes to the Yamaha-sponsored round of the Phillip Island world Superbikes, valued at $268; and free trackside camping for four nights (Feb 26-Mar 1 inclusive), valued at $190.
