Australia’s own Savic Motorcycles has thrown open its doors to possible new ownership structures and partnerships as it looks to scale up its operation.
In what Savic is calling a “strategic transition process”, prospective strategic acquirers, investors and industrial partners are being called upon to enter discussions with the company, with the goal of taking its products global.
The electric motorcycle start-up has particular interest “in parties that can combine capital with manufacturing capability, supply chain leverage, technology, distribution, or international market access”.
Established 10 years ago by Dennis Savic, the Melbourne-based company has developed its high-spec C-Series electric motorcycle, with units now on the road and with customers.

According to CEO Marc Alexander, who took over from founder Savic in December 2025, the development of the product was just the start of the brand’s journey.
“The first decade was about proving that an Australian company could develop, engineer, and commercially deliver a high-performance EV motorcycle,” says Alexander.
“We have done that. The opportunity now is scaling the technology, multi-model product platform, brand and commercial capability that we have built.”

While electric motorcycles have struggled to crack the Australian market to date, the Savic team is backing itself to grow its brand on a global scale.
“We have reached a point where the opportunity is much larger than one motorcycle,” says Alexander. “We have a product in market, technology we own, an experienced team and a platform designed to support additional products and applications.
“The right strategic partner can help scale that capability substantially faster.”

Alexander also pointed towards the brand’s Australian roots and its ability over its 10-year history to adapt and survive.
“Savic has always had a very Australian character. There’s a determination here to take an ambitious idea, engineer it properly, survive the difficult parts, and keep building. We now have the opportunity to take what we have built to a much larger market.”
