Safety recall: Polaris RZR 570

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has issued a product safety recall for the Polaris RZR 570 side-by-side vehicle, with the measure affecting some 55 VIN numbers.

According to Polaris, "Some vehicles may have been assembled using incorrect front brake caliper mounting bolts," which could potentially lead to the caliper breaking free from the vehicle.

Affected units were sold between May 1 and July 19, 2017, and have the following Vehicle Identification Numbers:

Polaris has had a tough time with recalls of late; just last month a recall was issued for around 13,000 of its youth models sold in Australia since 2003. That recall was for the potential use of asbestos in certain components.

Affected RZR 570 owners should contact their nearest authorised Polaris dealership to arrange for an inspection and potential repair.
