What is the defect?
The engine may stall whilst riding normally and be unable to be restarted. This has been identified as a fault in the electric fuel pump, due to deformation of an internal component, causing the pump to stick and not pump fuel.
What is the hazard?
If the engine stalls in traffic it may cause the vehicle to slow unexpectedly and could result in a rear end collision.

What should consumers do?
The owner of the affected machines will be advised not to use their machine until such time as it has been repaired by an authorised Honda dealer. A new countermeasure fuel pump will be fitted at no cost to the customer.
