Royal Enfield teases rumoured Himalayan 750

Royal Enfield has seemingly confirmed rumours of a Himalayan 750 by showing off a prototype on social media

Dual-sport riders have spent years crying out for Royal Enfield to develop a parallel-twin version of its Himalayan 450 adventure bike, and now it looks like the brand is getting close to making their dreams come true.

Rumours of a Himalayan 750 have been fuelled by several spy photos in the last 12 months, but it appears the brand has now snuck the upcoming model into its own social media posts.

A recent post by the official Royal Enfield accounts showed members of its team out riding in the Himalayas with what appeared to be the electric Himalayan test bed, as well as a parallel-twin powered machine with Himalayan styling.

The caption simply read: “Out testing with the team in the Himalayas doing what we love most”. It was accompanied with hashtags referencing “Himalayan Testing”.

While there is no confirmation that the parallel-twin bike is indeed the rumoured Himalayan 750, it is clear Royal Enfield is working on a new model.

Online sleuths believe a potential Himalayan 750 will be based on the 650 Twins platform but will feature a reworked engine with bigger displacement. It would be the biggest engine in the brand's range and its only non-LAMS model.

Spy photos also suggest that the bike will have upside-down forks, a 19- and 17-inch wheel combo, a TFT dash, and LED lighting.

The Himalayan 750 rumours follow the launch of the popular Himalayan 450 in early 2024. Debuting liquid cooling and upside-down suspension for the brand, the Himlayan 450 has been a huge hit.

Royal Enfield last year ruled out a production version of its electric Himalayan, saying that the time wasn’t right for an electric adventure bike. But the company is expected to launch its Flying Flea electric roadster in 2026

Whispers suggest a production Himalayan 750 will surface towards the end of the year, but it is just a guessing game until then.
