Royal Enfield has launched the psychedelic Goan Classic 350 in Australia.
Named after the Indian coastal state of Goa and inspired by the free-spirited counterculture of the 1970s and ’80s, the Goan Classic is a bobber-styled take on the popular Classic 350.
“The Goan Classic is a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of freedom and individuality that Royal Enfield has championed for decades,” explained Royal Enfield’s Chief Commercial Officer, Yadvinder Singh Guleria.
“With differentiated motorcycles such as the Goan, which offers a relaxed and easy vibe, we are confident it will be the perfect companion for free-spirited and freewheeling riders in Australia.”
The bike is powered by a 349cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine producing approximately 20hp at 6100rpm and 27Nm at 4000rpm, paired with a five-speed gearbox. Its twin-downtube spine frame combines 19- and 16-inch spoked wheels with whitewall tubeless tyres, dual-channel ABS, and 300mm front and 270mm rear brake discs.
Additional features include the ability to switch easily between single-seat and pillion configurations, a Tripper navigation pod, USB-C charging port, and LED lighting.
Goa was the heart of India’s bohemian motorcycle culture in the 1970s and ’80s, so Royal Enfield is offering colour options that turn the Goan into what it calls a “four-stroked, sun-soaked hippie machine.” The colourways include Shack Black, Rave Red, and Trip Teal.
A wide range of accessories is available, while the brand has also teamed up with Indian fashion house Rafu’D for a line of Goa-inspired apparel.
Pricing for the Goan Classic 350 starts at $8890 ride away, with the Trip Teal and Rave Red colour schemes adding $100 to the total.
