Royal Enfield has announced a new scrambler-style motorcycle that uses the proven 411cc single-cylinder engine found in the Himalayan adventure bike.
The new 2022 Royal Enfield Scram 411 is described by the Indian firm as an “ADV crossover” and is based heavily on the Himalayan platform.
Separating the Scram 411 from its adventure cousin is unique styling and bodywork inspired by the urban ruggedness that modern scramblers are known for.

The engine puts out 24.3hp at 6500rpm and 32Nm at 4250rpm, and is complimented by a 5-speed gearbox and electronic fuel injection.
While the Scram 411 uses the same chassis as the Himalayan, it has been modified, with a slightly lower 795mm seat height, a 19-inch front wheel (as opposed to 21-inch on the Himalayan), and a lower wet weight of 185kg.
Also featured on the Scram 411 is wire-spoked wheels, dual purpose tires and a high ground clearance, allowing for true dual-purpose motorcycling.
The Scram 411 will be offered in seven colourways – White Flame, Silver Spirit, Blazing Black, Skyline Blue, Graphite Red, Graphite Blue, and Graphite Yellow.
Pricing for the new 2022 Royal Enfield Scram 411 is yet to be determined, but would-be customers can expect the first bikes to land in Australian dealerships in the middle of 2022.
