The 'playing' roster for the 2010 Monster Energy Super X, Australasia's supercross championship, has been announced, featuring a number of Americans (albeit most in cameo roles) to take on Australia's best.
Kevin Windham (who will compete in the Canberra and Launceston rounds), Davi Millsaps (Canberra and Launceston), Mike Alessi (all) and Justin Brayton (Newcastle, Canberra and Launceston) represent the American resistance, while defending champion Chad Reed is again the leading Aussie in what will be his final Super X appearance.
Other local hotshots will include Jay Marmont, twins Matt and Jake Moss, Tye Simmonds and Cheyne Boyd.
"The calibre of international riders we have secured for this year's series is testament to the growth of Super X and the recognition it is getting around the world," said Michael Porra, managing director of Global Action Sports.
"The racing this year is going to be off the hook with these riders competing against all of Australia's best who have been stepping it up each year. We are also still in negotiations with other very big name riders that we are hoping to secure in the coming weeks," concluded Porra.
