Rossi rides Zaeta 530 dirt tracker

When Graziano Rossi decided to build his very own flat tracker, it was only a matter of time before he enlisted his son, Valentino Rossi, to test it

We reported on the Zaeta 530 flat tracker back in mid-2010, a motorcycle developed by Graziano Rossi, motorcycle grand prix winner and Valentino Rossi's old man.

It was always inevitable that papa Rossi would get a little promotional mileage out of his champion son -- and here it is, video and images of the MotoGP star banging around a dirt track on the Zaeta 530 flat tracker.

Priced at around €13,500 in Italy ($20,000), the 115kg motorcycle was the brainchild of Graziano Rossi and Paolo Chiaia, and the 530cc single-cylinder bike doesn't seem to be lacking power, popping wheel stands with effortless ease.

The video appears to have been filmed while Vale was still contracted to Yamaha, and judging by his effortless manipulation of the bike, it might have even been filmed before his shoulder injury.

Whatever the case, it makes for impressive viewing.
