Ronax 500cc two-stroke

The German machine will be unveiled on June 8, and rumoured to be heavily influenced on the 2001 MotoGP world championship-winning NSR500
German company Ronax GmbH is preparing to release a limited-edition street-legal 500cc two-stroke sportsbike, said to  be heavily influenced on the Honda NSR500 which won the 2001 MotoGP title in the hands of Italian Valentino Rossi – the last year before four-strokes became the norm in the world’s premier road racing class.
We don’t know a lot about the Ronax 500 other than it’s a V4 – “a legendary engine makes a comeback”, says the company -- and that it will be limited to 46 units – handing more credence to the fact that it will be heavily based on Rossi’s 2001 machine.
The outline of the Ronax under tightly wrapped yellow cloth shows that it has the same outline for the ram air intake as Rossi’s machine, and also the twin offset mufflers. Unless Ronax is playing some games, the lineage appears quite obvious.
Based on the performance and prestige elements, the Ronax 500 should certainly pique a mountain of interest around the globe, and we’d expect that all units will be snapped up with impressive haste.
We’ll bring you all the details and images on June 8.
