Despite its relatively low-profile, Rieju is the oldest active manufacture in Spain, with a history stretching back 75 years. The family-owned business produces 17,000 units per year, with 38 different models in its stable.
The brand has been involved in many facets of off-road racing, including multiple Dakar Rally appearances.
With GasGas now under the direction of KTM, its former enduro platform has been acquired by Rieju, with the two-stroke enduro range featuring KYB suspension, Nissin brakes, Magura clutch, Exel and Goldspeed rims, Renthal bars and grips, XTrig triple clamps, FMF exhaust and more.
Rieju is expected to launch in Australia late Feb, with the bikes arriving in New Zealand in March. The dealer network will be announced soon.
Pricing is set to be very competitive, and further pricing details are expected in February. There will also be online ordering for parts and accessories from February.
The brand will also be looking to support local riders in state and national competitions. Anyone interested can enquire at info@rieju.com.au.
