Riding in a parallel world

Seventh world tour for UK rider

Endurance rider and documentary producer Nick Sanders is about to take off from his home base in the UK again, on his seventh world circumnavigation by bike. And no, we have no idea what the relevance of the models in the publicity shot might be - attractive though they are.

Called Parallel World, the journey will once again be the subject of a documentary and will be undertaken on a Yamaha R1.

The 49-year-old has previously used a similar bike to set a speed circumnavigation, which took 19 days and three hours in 2005.

This version will cover 88,000km and take around three months.
