The good folk behind the ever-popular Distinguished Gentleman's Ride are at it again, this time with a global charity ride open to anyone and everyone on two wheels (with an engine – there must be an engine!).
The inaugural Ride Sunday charity ride will take place on Sunday, July 2, and organisers say it will bring together riders of all manner of motorcycles and scooters in their tens of thousands around the world, in a supreme celebration of riding.

Of course, it's all for a good cause – or causes, as the case most definitely is. Ride Sunday has teamed up with a wide range of major charities that will benefit from participants' fundraising activities, from Cure Cancer Australia to Ronald McDonald House, Movember Foundation to Make a Wish Australia and many more.
Raise more money for charity than anyone else and you'll snare the grand prize – a brand new motorcycle of your choice, up to a value of $US15,000!
Ride Sunday is a 'global' event because it's internet based – simply go to the Ride Sunday website, register and you're away. You can ride solo, with a group of mates, host your own ride or join in someone else's. Just raise some cash for your preferred charity on the Ride Sunday list, and get out on your bike on Sunday, July 2.
Judging by the international success of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, which is now held in over 80 countries around the world and raises millions of dollars each year, the broader scope of Ride Sunday means it could have even bigger potential.
Mark Hawwa, the founder of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride and Ride Sunday, says the aim of Ride Sunday is clear.
"Nearly every ride that riders take part in is based around a good cause," he says.
"What we aim to do is to bring together charities, causes and manufacturers, in order to create an event that is going to change the world."
