Repsol Honda CBR250R looming

Honda Australia has confirmed that a Repsol-liveried version of its top-selling entry-level sportsbike, the CBR250R, is heading our way

Honda Australia has announced that a striking Repsol-liveried Honda CBR250R will be joining the standard versions of the model (available in red, black and red/white/blue) before the end of the year.

Honda's commercial and sponsorship tie-ups with Spanish oil company Repsol go back to the 1990s, and the distinctive Repsol paint scheme and graphics have adorned many a World Motorcycle Champion's bike, including those ridden by Alex Criville, Nicky Hayden and our own Mick Doohan.
The CBR250R has been on a winning streak of its own since its introduction to the Australian market in June of last year, ending 2011 as the top-selling 250cc bike. Despite only going on sale mid-way through the year some 2172 examples of the CBR250R were sold in 2011, ahead of the category's previous king, Kawasaki's Ninja 250, with 1984 units.
Now, with the recent unveiling of Kawasaki's all-new Ninja 300 (click here

The Honda CBR250R currently retails for $5490 (plus on-roads) or $5990 (plus on-roads) with Honda's Combined-ABS brake system. Honda has confirmed the Repsol version of the bike will be available either with or without ABS, but pricing for the model is yet to be confirmed.
