Redwing Honda closes its doors

Now in liquidation

After 10 years in business, one of Honda's premier Melbourne dealers, Redwing Honda, has ceased trading.

The emporium, based in Heidelberg Heights, went into voluntary administration a few weeks ago, and a decision has been made to immediately liquidate assets rather than trying to trade out of the financial entanglement in the tough economic climate.

Of the four major Japanese marques, Honda took the biggest hit in the first quarter of 2009, with sales down 28.7 percent compared to the same period in 2008.

Redwing was a sole Honda dealership.
