Radical Ducati RAD02

Spanish tuner Radical Ducati has created a stunning new café racer that pays homage to a famous classic

We're not too picky about our bikes - if it's got two wheels (and sometimes three) we usually want to have a sticky beak. And this custom creation from a Spanish outfit didn't have to try hard to pique our interest.

Built by Radical Ducati, the RAD02 Imola is a head-turning café racer that appears to have been inspired by the 750SS Imola, one of Ducati's most famous bikes. The classic model made headlines at Imola 200 in 1972 ridden by Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari.

The modern day interpretation of the classic model takes on a café racer aesthetic, and finds power via a V-twin 900SS that puts out 80hp in its regular state of tune. However, this particular Radical Ducati can be expected to develop more herbs thanks to modified camshafts and freer flowing exhaust cans.

The RAD02 Imola has a number of interesting components, including adjustable front forks from the Ducati 749S and a ride-height adjuster from MV Agusta.

The chassis was donated by a Ducati Monster S4R and, as the photos show, there are numerous other modifications and components fitted to the RAD02 Imola.

Designed to be a track-only device, Spanish-based Radical Ducati will make the RAD02 Imola to order. We'll take two, thanks.
