We've seen the handiwork of Radical Ducati before, a Spanish custom shop that specialises in tuning Italian motorcycles. The Ducati RAD02 and Guzzi California were two such creations, and now another model has emerged, the Café Veloce.
Based on a Ducati GT1000 Sport Classic, the Spanish design is styled along the lines of a retro café racer and features a dry clutch conversion with an aftermarket slipper clutch.
As well as the cosmetic changes to the machine, which give it a quintessential café racer image, Radical Ducati has also gone to town on the engine, blueprinting the entire kit and caboodle.
In other words, the air-cooled V-twin has had all its internals removed, measured, then machined, then reassembled. This usually results in improved reliability and rideability thanks to a smoother running engine - and sometimes even mild power power increases.
