
Kawasaki’s Jonathan Rea and arch-rival Chaz Davies (Ducati) produced the same scorecards in round three of the 2018 Superbike World Championhsip at MotorLand Aragon in Spain on April 14-15.
In the first visit to Europe this year after rounds in Australia and Thailand, Rea and Davies scored the quinella in race one before the tables were turned in thee second instalment, with Xavi Fores (Ducati) and polesitter Marco Melandri (Ducati) claiming the two third places.
Melandri, Michael van der Mark (Yamaha) and Tom Sykes (Kawasaki) filled positions 4-6 in race one, and in race two it was Ales Lowes (Yamaha), van der Mark and Sykes.

Rea leads the championhsip on 114 points ahead of Davies (102), Melandri (96), Fores (76) and Lowes (70).
Meanwhile, it was a shocking weekend for Honda’s Leon Camier, who was involved in a collision with Jordi Torres (MV Agusta) and Lorenzo Savadori (Aprilia) in race one, fracturing three ribs and bruising to his lung.

World supersport
German Sandro Cortesewon his first race in the category, ahead of fellow Yamaha riders Federico Caricasulo and Jules Cluzel.
It was the first victory for Cortese since 2012, back when he met the chequered flag in the penultimate race of his Moto3 championship-winning season.
Aussies Anthony West and Lachlan Epis were ninth and 24th on their Kawasakis.
World champion Lucas Mahias (Yamaha), who was fouth on Aragon, leads the championship on 58 points from Cortese (54) and Randy Krummenacher (Yamaha, 50).
Round four is in Assen from April 20-22.
