Racing: Phillip Island to host 2010 WSBK opener

February 26-28

Even though it hasn't yet been made official by the FIM, Phillip Island again appears destined to host the opening round of next year's Superbike World Championship.

The official website for the grand prix circuit is already advertising next year's event on its home page, with all the action locked in for February 26-28.

Ticketing information and pricing for 2010 is yet to be confirmed.

This year's Phillip Island world superbike round was held from February 27 until March 1, followed two weeks later by Qatar.

The 2010 MotoGP provisional calendar has already been released, but the world superbike fixture is not expected to get a public airing until on or near the 2009 FIM Biennial Session, which will be held in Geneva from October 22-26.
