Australian Jason O'Halloran has gone full circle, and will return to the British racing paddock at Croft this weekend.
The "O Show" started off 2009 with SMT Honda in the British superbike title, but then defected to the same world supersport team (Althea Honda) as fellow Australian Mark Aitchison.
But that collaboration only lasted for one round, Brno in late July, with the team severing ties on the eve of last weekend's round in Germany, citing unsatisfactory results.
But it hasn't taken long for the 2007 Australian supersport champion to land back on his feet, signing with the Linxcel-Seton Yamaha supersport team for the remainder of 2009.
Three rounds remain, with Croft to be followed by Silverstone (September 25-27) and Oulton Park (October 9-11).
O'Halloran will ride the YZF-R6 vacated by Hudson Kennaugh.
"I'm sure Jason will prove himself to be a valuable asset to the Linxcel Seton Tuning team," said team boss Phil Seton.
"His professional attitude, willingness to work as hard as the whole team and undoubted ability are the attributes we were looking for from our supersport rider. We are sure Jason will be able to challenge at the front end of the grid where our supersport bike deserves to be."
Australian Billy McConnell (Yamaha) is currently running second in the British supersport title, just 2pts adrift of Honda's Steve Plater.
Last year's title was won by Aussie expatriate, Paul Young, on a Triumph.
